Supreme Court upholds gun rights

In a 5-4 decision, the high court ruled in favor of striking down Chicago's handgun ban. Furthermore, the court held that Americans have the right to own a gun for self-defense regardless of where they live. This is the second time in the past two years the court has ruled in favor of gun owners over restrictive regulations. The court struck down a handgun ban in DC a year ago.

Why do lawmakers continue to bring this issue up? We are Americans, we have the right to bear arms.
