RightChange: Even Democrats Aren’t Buying Obama Recovery
Fri, February 24, 2012President Obama and the Democratic talking heads continue to shove the recovery down America’s throats. “Recovery is speeding up.” “The Recovery worked.” “The economy has vastly improved.” Who is really buying that? Ask the common man on Main Street and he or she will tell you there is no recovery. Apparently, Democrats are struggling to accept it, too.
“Democratic pollster Stanley Greenberg is out with a must-read polling memo this morning, which offers some eye-opening advice to President Obama and his re-election team. After testing several of the president's economic messages, he finds the argument that the economy is back on the right track polls miserably - and "produces disastrous results."
"It is weaker than even the weakest Republican message and is 10 points weaker in intensity than either Republican message," Greenberg wrote. "A third said this message made them less likely to support Barack Obama. Alarmingly, this message barely receives majority support among self-identified Democrats - and even less support among all other groups."
Newsflash to the White House: jobs are not a self-fulfilling prophecy. Just because you tell us they are there, doesn’t mean that they are. The facts tell us that the number of people dropping out of the labor force all together has flat lined and there are not enough jobs being created to sustain those people. Healthcare costs are rising, along with the price for food and gas. The cost of living is rising as incomes are diminishing. The only thing growing in this economic environment is the federal government.
We need real jobs. Ones that do not come from another failed Stimulus pet project. Until then, we can kiss the recovery goodbye.
