Right Change: Obamacare = Huge Government Bureaucracy
Fri, July 06, 2012With the White House and HHS moving forward with the implementation of Obamacare, also known as the largest tax increase in the history of the United States, America needs to get ready for a HUGE increase in government bureaucracy. And we are not talking about long lines at the DMV, we are talking about your personal health care.
The Health and Human Services Department "was given a billion dollars implementation money," Republican Rep. Denny Rehberg of Montana said in a Fox News interview. "That money is gone already on additional bureaucrats and IT programs, computerization for the implementation. There's already 13,000 pages of regulations, and they're not even done yet.”
"It's a delegation of extensive authority from Congress to the Department of Health and Human Services and a lot of boards and commissions and bureaus throughout the bureaucracy," Matt Spalding of the Heritage Foundation said. "We counted about 180 or so."
Spaulding also went on to say the “mandate” is a very small piece of the legislation, only about two percent. So while it may be the greatest threat to our liberty, it is but a small part of this massive new government expansion.
"They are asking for several hundred new employees," Dorn said. "You have rules you need to write and you need lawyers, so there are lots of things you need to do when you are standing up a new enterprise."
Isn’t it comforting to think of the IRS calling you regarding your health care needs? Nancy Pelosi said congress needed to pass the bill so we can find out what is in it. It looks like Obama and his democratic house and senate passed the bill so they can regulate and tax nearly every aspect of our lives.
Now the federal government will be in charge of designing, implementing and setting prices for your health care. They will decide who gets treatment, when and how much it will cost. That is very comforting when you think about the other programs government run - US Postal Service, Social Security, and Medicare.
If the conservative Republicans do not find a way to undo this terrible mess America will never be the same. It will be a sad day in this great country when going to the doctor’s office is as bad as going to the Social Security office and then having the IRS follow after you.
