Obama/Biden: “Buck Up” and “Stop Whining”
Tue, September 28, 2010These words may sound like an Obama Administration attack on Republicans. But they’re not, they were President Obama’s words to Democrats. It was Obama’s version of a call to action to his own party, the same party he is begging to rescue his Congress from Republicans so he can continue to carry out his big government.
Obama told Democrats to “Buck Up” in a Rolling Stone Interview. Obama said, “People need to shake off this lethargy. People need to buck up.” But Obama is not the only one sounding off against the Democrats.
On Monday, Vice President Joe Biden told Democratic activists and donors to “Stop Whining and Start Rallying.” He also defended the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda and praised Obama’s efforts stating he [President Obama] has done an “incredible job” and has “kept his promises.” This statement set a fire under the left with a response from Adam Green, the co-founder of the Progressive Change Committee. “We are picking up the ball that this White House dropped,” said Green.
Now wait a minute, this doesn’t sound like the united Democratic party members Pelosi says are confident about their participation in Obama’s agenda and are beating a drum in every district about taking us in a new direction. This sounds like a completely divided party desperate to win an election that will not stop short of comparing their own members to whiney-lathargic babies. In regards, but not limited to whining, maybe Obama should practice what he preaches.
