Leaked Obama Call Blames “Obstructionist Republican Congress”

The Daily Beast has obtained and released leaked details of an Obama campaign call from aboard Air Force One. It is a rare look behind the veil of big dollar donors and how they are courted. It also revealed how anxious Obama is about being out-raised and his lack of support from 2008 donors.

“The majority on this call maxed out to my campaign last time. I really need you to do the same this time, I’m asking you to meet or exceed what you did in 2008,” said Obama from a phone on Air Force One traveling back from Colorado after a photo op amongst the devastation. “In 2008 everything was new and exciting about our campaign,” Obama said. “And now I’m the incumbent president. I’ve got gray hair. People have seen disappointment because folks had a vision of change happening immediately. And it turns out change is hard, especially when you’ve got an obstructionist Republican Congress.”

Being caught between this obvious lie about “obstructionist Republican Congress” and sounding too dejected, Obama quickly added, “Nevertheless, we’ve gotten more done in the last three years than most presidents do in eight years … I just hope you guys haven’t become disillusioned. I hope all of you still understand what’s at stake and why this is so important … I still believe in you guys, and I hope you still believe in me and the possibilities of this campaign.”

Despite blaming the disappointment and lack of change on the ‘obstructionist Republican Congress’ Obama is quick to point out that he HAS been able to do more in three years than most presidents do in eight. That is quite the discrepancy Mr. President! As he is yet to learn, you can’t have your cake and eat it too. The first lie is that Obama hasn’t been able to implement ‘change’. The fact of the matter is Obama has gotten a lot done in three years and people have seen disappointment because Obama’s policies simply don’t work. Socialist policies where big government makes the decisions and runs the programs have never worked and they will never work better than individual liberty working through capitalism. America has seen his change and it changed America for the worse. 

The second big lie is that people haven’t seen the change he promised is because of the ‘obstructionist Republican Congress’. What Obama fails to realize (and some question whether he even knows) that Congress is made up of two houses. One of which, the Senate, has been in the Democrats control his entire term (along with the White House of course). For the first TWO FULL YEARS Obama was able to implement whatever change he wanted as he controlled both houses of congress and the White House. He chose to implement his radical socialist agenda instead of policies that would truly help the American people recover the recession. That is why people have seen disappointment and no longer believe in Obama and his change. Know that when Obama says he has been obstructed he’s telling a lie. He passed whatever he wanted for two full years. 

As for the Obstructionist Republican Congress he likes to call out, he needs to realize he is calling out the American people themselves. After the two years of passing whatever he wanted, the American people had enough of his liberal agenda and came out in record numbers to let their voices be heard. America put those Obstructionist Republicans in the House in order to do just what they have done. When Obama reprimands congress he reprimands Americans everywhere. Americans have had enough of his ‘hope and change’ and will have the chance to restore hope this November by making a change in the White House.
