RightChange: Cantor’s Budget Trigger Bargain
Thu, December 01, 2011After the Supercommittee’s failure and President Obama’s failure to get them to pass a deal, the “trigger” as written in the law from the debt ceiling deal. As we wrote yesterday, the across the board cuts expected to take place are not proportionate. Defense would see a 5.10% reduction in spending while Mandatory spending would see a .4% reduction. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) has a plan to change that.
