RightChange: 1,000-Day Anniversary Of No Budget From The Do-Nothing Senate Democrats

Somewhere, someplace, David Ramsey listeners are pounding their heads on their desks. It has been 1,000 days since the Democratic led Senate produced a blueprint for the government to operate financially.  That’s two years and 270 days 142.857 weeks, and 24,000 hours the government has operated without any limits on how to spend our money.

RightChange: Which Chamber Had The Most Futile Year Ever

The full House has returned to Washington as Congress marks the end of its least-productive year in modern history.  It passed 80 bills, fewer than during any other session since year-end records began being kept in 1947.   The real question is whether or not the blame is equally shared.

RightChange: What Does 325K Jobs Added in December Foreshadow?

Most of the major news outlets are hailing the latest job creation survey by as a sign of economic growth to come in 2012, but unemployment is historically high and people are wrapping up their holiday gift returns.  These are two of many reasons why we may be experiencing a stagnant economy in 2012.

RightChange: House Republicans Cave On Payroll Holiday

President Obama’s $40 campaign against Republicans must have worked. The White House urged people to “share what a $40 paycheck means to them.” The President held a “Do-nothing Republican” bashing earlier. And Mitch McConnell demanded the House to pass the Senate bill. This was all apparently enough to make Speaker Boehner crack.

RightChange: Senator Reid and Obama REFUSE to Pass The Payroll Holiday They Originally Wanted

President Obama asked for a year-long payroll holiday.  The House passed a year- long payroll compromise. Then the Senate Democrats changed the rules completely and passed a temporary 2-month extension last weekend and left town for their holiday recess.  The House is causing a standstill in Washington right now, and for good reason.  Two payroll system groups have already said a temporary tax holiday will be costly on employees and employers while causing “substantial problems.”  For some strange reason President Obama and the Democrats are demanding the House to pass the two-month extension anyway.
