Than helping the millions of unemployed Americans. As part of their “effective” campaign strategy consisting of the Bush blame game and steering clear of Pelosi while the Obama administration calls them whiney babies - the Democrats refused to vote on extending the Bush tax cuts that could help taxpayers including low-income families. All of this so the Democrats can get out of town to rake in money to save their own backs while millions of Americans struggle to pay their power bill.
It is also worth pointing out Pelosi scrambled to get a vote on the adjournment haulting a vote on the Bush tax cuts. The vote was tied at 209-209, so she took a trip down to the floor herself to break it 209-210. Despite the fact 39 House Democrats voted against the adjournment, she and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said they were “unified” on the decision. “I think we should deal with the tax cuts before we leave, “ said Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.). This was just another form of Pelosi parachuting in to get what she wants – more Americans out of work.
Adding to the economic plan for disaster, the Senate and House with the Democratic majority could not even come up with a blueprint for the annual budget plan. Probably in fear of unveiling how badly their NON-job creating stimulus packages and their “free” healthcare plan that McDonald’s can’t even afford, have tripled the deficit. It’s probably because this budget blueprint puts a cap on spending. Millions of Americans are adjusting their budgets, or what is left to budget with, from the economy the Democrats have ruined with their over-spending. And the government can’t even come up with a blueprint? Sorry Obama and the Democrats but you don’t know how to drive and you won’t get the keys this November.

It is hard to ignore all of the patriarchal rhetoric spewing from the Obama administration this week. Coming on the heels of the Rolling Stone Interview where President Obama told Democrats to “Buck up” and Joe Biden’s command to “Stop Whining,” Obama attempted to get Wisconsin students fired up and ready to go promising them to “stick with him” and “not to sit this one out.” It was his pull to re-energize the Democratic base. Guess this was his parenting tactic of breaking them down and building them back up. Obama has been on a road trip full of parental guidance.
During the same speech he went into this long analogy comparing the economy to a car Republicans drove into a ditch. And how Democrats like himself [Obama] Pelosi and Reid spent their blood sweat and tears pulling it back out of the ditch.
“And we’ve got to tell them, you can’t have the keys back. You don’t know how to drive. You don’t know how to drive. You don’t know how to drive. You can’t have them back.”
Obama also went on to say “You guys are watching the television. They're basically saying that you're apathetic, you're disappointed, you're "oh, well, we're not sure that we're going to turn out. Wisconsin, we can't let that happen. We cannot sit this one out. We can't let this country fall backwards because the rest of us didn't care enough to fight.”
President Obama, did you ever think the reason Americans don’t want to fight is because they don’t want to fight for anymore of your failed leadership? Americans struggle to grow their business because they have already seen premiums rise under you healthcare system that was supposed to save America. They don’t want to start new innovative businesses if they have to report every nickel to the IRS, and they don’t want to see the unemployment rate grow anymore than you have already grown it in the past two years. While you resort back to the feel good big talk that got you elected, Americans do not want to hear it. What they want to hear is how you are going to get them a job and get off their back.
The American people are not a group of incompetent children who just need a little pep talk from Dad to motivate them. And they are not going to listen to the Hope, Change, and Yes We Can anymore. Face it; stop playing Daddy and start playing President.

ABCnews.com is reporting it is likely Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel will leave the White House to run for mayor in Chicago. It will be a benefit to the American people for Rahm to leave the White House. He was instrumental in getting the health care act through Congress, the passage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and passing financial regulation; all pieces of legislation that have contributed to the $13 trillion debt the American tax payer is stuck paying for generations. Chicago look out!

These words may sound like an Obama Administration attack on Republicans. But they’re not, they were President Obama’s words to Democrats. It was Obama’s version of a call to action to his own party, the same party he is begging to rescue his Congress from Republicans so he can continue to carry out his big government.
Obama told Democrats to “Buck Up” in a Rolling Stone Interview. Obama said, “People need to shake off this lethargy. People need to buck up.” But Obama is not the only one sounding off against the Democrats.
On Monday, Vice President Joe Biden told Democratic activists and donors to “Stop Whining and Start Rallying.” He also defended the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda and praised Obama’s efforts stating he [President Obama] has done an “incredible job” and has “kept his promises.” This statement set a fire under the left with a response from Adam Green, the co-founder of the Progressive Change Committee. “We are picking up the ball that this White House dropped,” said Green.
Now wait a minute, this doesn’t sound like the united Democratic party members Pelosi says are confident about their participation in Obama’s agenda and are beating a drum in every district about taking us in a new direction. This sounds like a completely divided party desperate to win an election that will not stop short of comparing their own members to whiney-lathargic babies. In regards, but not limited to whining, maybe Obama should practice what he preaches.

And regulate you. Despite the fact that many small businesses and legislators did not want it in the first place, President Obama finally signed the $30 billion small business-lending bill today. Obama said it would save small businesses and promote job growth. The bill comes neatly packaged with tax credits, cuts, and billions of dollars to help banks give loans to small businesses. But, you better read the fine print.
As the article courtesy of NewsBusters points out, the beginning of the bill clearly states its aim:
To create the Small Business Lending Fund Program to direct the Secretary of the Treasury to make capital investments in eligible institutions in order to increase the availability of credit for small businesses, to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide tax incentives for small business job creation, and for other purposes.
You read it right, complete government oversight. There is another stipulation requiring institutions to “Outreach to MINORITIES, WOMEN, AND VETERANS.” The Treasury requires all banks receiving funds to give “appropriate” outreach and advertisement to the minorities, women, and veteran applicants detailing the process of receiving loans. The treasury wants this done though “print, radio, television or electronic media outlets.” To sum it up, The Treasury wants institutions advertising Government saved the day.
This is the very reason small business and community banks do not want and will not take advantage of the bill. Not only do they have to report everything back to the Treasury, they have to spend time advertising on behalf of the government when they could be using that time to think of ways to expand their business. Bank executives claim their customers have no interest in the loans because they fear a slowed economy and government regulation. They are right. And given the chance the economy gets better, the Treasury Department is still running the show.

Democrats in Congress decided to push back a tax vote until after the midterm elections. Do House Democrats think that staying in power is more important than letting us know what our tax rates will be?
