We need a passionate, commonsense leader to handle one of the biggest environmental disaster in our nation’s history. Supreme Court upholds gun rights

In a 5-4 decision, the high court ruled in favor of striking down Chicago's handgun ban. Furthermore, the court held that Americans have the right to own a gun for self-defense regardless of where they live. This is the second time in the past two years the court has ruled in favor of gun owners over restrictive regulations. The court struck down a handgun ban in DC a year ago.

Dems reach deal to rewrite financial rules

Congressional Democrats adjourned late into the night with an agreement on how to shape the nation's financial and banking industries.

The legislation would redraw how money flows through the U.S. economy, from the way people borrow money to the way banks structure complicated products like derivatives. It could touch every person who has a bank account or uses a credit card.

When asked regarding the impact of the legislation, Senator Chris Dodd, commented, "No one will know until this is actually in place how it works."

Cuomo lambasts special interests while receiving millions from them

Seeking New York's highest office does strange things to you- just ask Andrew Cuomo, the state's Attorney General. Mr. Cuomo recently pledged to end excessive influence in Albany by enacting new contribution limits. The problem is Cuomo is sitting on millions of contributions from the interests he assails. Furthermore, in 2007 Cuomo pledged to not accept contributions over $10k- a pledge he later broke.
